Family-Friendly Ceramic Ornament Workshop

The mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens contain many special ceramics. PMG creator Isaiah Zagar makes ceramic “doily tiles” by pressing lace into clay, which he colors with glaze. He also adds his own images, designs, and words on donated tiles.
In this workshop, participants will choose and decorate two ceramic forms (choose from a variety of tiles and ornaments) and glaze a doily tile ornament inspired by Isaiah. We will fire these unique pieces in our kiln, turning them into enduring keepsakes.
Ornaments will be fired and ready for pickup at PMG by December 13.
