PECO Family Jams: Picassiette
December 8 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free – $15Picassiette is a style of mosaic that uses broken dishes and ceramic, specifically stolen or scrounged plates. There are many such plates embedded in the mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. There are also many references to La Maison Picassiette, an Art Environment in Chartres, France created by Raymond Isidore and his wife Adrienne Dousset. Today, we will be making small Isidore-inspired mosaics that you can take home.
Learn more about La Maison Picassiette and the many other Art Environments referenced in PMG during free tours of our fully mosaicked basement at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.
This month, we are offering free tickets to PMG during this program, while supplies last. Please book your free tickets on PMG’s website.
