PECO Family Jams: Tile Portraits

In our current exhibition, “Face to Face,” we explore the mosaicked portraits of Isaiah Zagar, founding artist of the Magic Gardens. Sometimes Isaiah paints an entire portrait on a single salvaged tile. In this exhibition, he often paints a single eye or mouth on a tile, then combines it with other pieces to create a portrait. Come draw on tiles and experiment in creating your own images to take home.

PECO Family Jams are PMG’s family-oriented programs held on the second Sunday of every month between noon and 4:00 p.m. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission to PMG. Purchase your regular admission tickets in advance.
