‘precious response’ is an interactive workshop for new and expecting parents to learn basic infant and pediatric cpr skills. in this class you will learn how to assess whether an infant or child is in need of cpr, the appropriate techniques to provide adequate cpr, how to use an aed machine, and how to relieve choking. there will also be an opportunity to learn some first aid skills such as: responding to allergic reactions, what to do if a child is experiencing a nosebleed, how to respond if your infant/child swallows chemicals or cleaning products, etc. this is a blended learning workshop; participants can expect a combination of live instruction, watching video clips, and practicing skills on manikins.
