Mom’s Gone Mild: A Girl’s Trip to Nashville at the Lyric Lounge

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your family… is to leave them behind for a few days. That’s exactly what we did when we escaped to Nashville for the ultimate girls trip — and it was everything. We left our toddlers at home with the dads (thank you ?), packed our cutest boots, and headed to Music City for some freedom, honky tonks, and friendship.

And let me tell you — our stay at the Lyric Lounge was the cherry on top of a weekend we’re still dreaming about.

Lyric Lounge: Nashville’s Most Instagrammable Airbnb

We stayed at Lyric Lounge — a luxury four-bedroom, 3.5-bath townhome that comfortably sleeps 12 guests, making it perfect for a big group of mamas in need of a break. It’s located just minutes from Broadway (Uber rides were $6-$8, max!), and every inch of the house is designed with FUNNNNN country-pop star energy.

Each room pays tribute to country icons with lyrics painted on the walls, glam vibes, and the ultimate selfie-worthy decor. ALSO find a dedicated selfie lounge, neon signs, bold prints, and themed bedrooms that feel like you’re staying backstage at the CMAs.

? Rooftop Vibes That Hit Just Right

The private rooftop deck was our favorite hangout spot — perfect for brunch under the sun or cocktails under the stars. We spent one night sipping drinks by the fire table, fairy lights glowing, music playing, and watching the sun set over the Nashville skyline. It was pure magic.

Whether you want to gather around the dining table for a takeout night or kick off your heels and laugh about your Broadway adventures, the rooftop is the place to do it.

?️ Shopping, Brunching & Soaking Up 12 South

One of the best parts of Lyric Lounge is its walking distance to the 12 South neighborhood, one of Nashville’s cutest and most walkable areas for shopping and brunch.

Here’s what we hit:

  • LoveShackFancy (prepare to swoon)
  • Molly Green for fun, trendy pieces
  • Draper James for Reese Witherspoon-approved Southern charm
  • Y’all Come Back (cutest name, even cuter accessories)
  • A bunch of local jewelry boutiques that had us all impulse-buying matching rings.

We also grabbed brunch at Buttermilk Ranch, which is a MUST! I’m still dreaming about those biscuits—flaky, buttery perfection.

Broadway Nights That Were Wildly Worth It

Of course, we couldn’t skip Broadway — it’s the heartbeat of Nashville, and we leaned all the way in. From honky-tonk hopping to dancing like we were 22 again, we had a blast at:

  • Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge
  • The Stage
  • And anywhere with live music (aka everywhere)

Hot tip: Ubers are super cheap and Lime scooters are everywhere, making it easy (and fun!) to get around the city.

Final Thoughts: Book the Trip, Book the Lounge, You Deserve It

There’s something deeply healing about stepping away from diapers and dishes for a minute and remembering who you are with the people who make you laugh until you cry.

Lyric Lounge gave us the perfect home base to reconnect, relax, and recharge. If you’ve been craving a girls’ trip that is high on fun and low on hassle, this is it. Grab your girls, book the lounge, and let Nashville do the rest.
